Fanshawe Pioneer Village Photo Walk

The Seventh London Photo Walk if fast approaching us and everyone should be excited about this one.
Come Saturday October 24th, 2009 at 10:00am we will find ourselves having a guided tour of historic Fanshawe Pioneer Village. That’s right, the London Photo Walk will be going back in time to experience what life would have been like over 100 years ago.
The staff at Fanshawe Pioneer Village has been kind enough to lend some time to the London Photo Walk so that we may see the village after it has closed for the season (which typically is Thanksgiving weekend). With that said this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Date: Saturday October 24, 2009
Time: 10:00 am (ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 9:45am at the Village)
Meeting Place: Fanshawe Pioneer Village
Entrance: Off of Fanshawe Park Road
Route: Guided Tour
IMPORTANT: I (Kevin) will be there prior to 9:30am to inform them of the group coming. You should NOT need to pay admission into the conservation area. You can contact me at 519 – 871 – 9052 THAT DAY if you need anything.
Other Points
- We cannot confirm if the General Store will be open, so if you require any food or beverage please bring your own (to be left in your car).
- Please dress appropriate for the weather, so that means bundle up if its cold out.
- Fanshawe Pioneer Village is OUTSIDE of bus/walking distance, (trust me, I’ve had to walk it in the past and it takes far too long.) so in order to get to the village you will need to be in an automobile. With that said if people can offer up an extra seat in a vehicle I think it would be appreciated by all on the walk. (the more people the better). If you can lend a ride to someone who needs it PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT of how people can contact you. The London Photo Walk is a community event (with no budget) and if we could help each other that would be appreciated.
Door Prize
Once again we would like to thank Lens Lenders for sponsoring the Photo Walk yet again. The prize is a $1 one-week lens rental as a door prize. Everyone who shows up and participates in the Fanshawe Pioneer Village Photo Walk is eligible to win this prize.

I will be attending with 1 other person.
I have 3 extra spots in a vehicle.

Will plan to be there, possibly one other peron as well.
I am definitely interested in this! I will be there plus anywhere between 1 and 3 people.
I certainly plan to be there. I haven’t had a chance to photograph the village all dressed up in fall colours yet. I mean the village in fall colours, not necessarily me. Anyway, I hope enough people respond. I’ve been trying to figure out a legal way to get in there this fall. A question for Kevin: can we stay there until sunset?
Hi MArc, we tried to get in for either sunrise or sunset, but it just did not work for the Village.
I’m in. Sorry I couldn’t make the last one for LOLA Fest, ended up having to go outta town. This sounds like a ton of fun though. I might even bring my fiancée along. If anyone up and around Huron and Highbury need a ride drop me an email at kailey.joanette@gmail.com
I will be attending. Only one person, if anyone on the south west end needs a ride, you can e-mail me at ea_hernan@yahoo.ca to arrange something.
See you all at the village.
ill be there my mom and uncle might come too not sure yet

Hello.
I just heard about the London Photo Walk, so I thought that I would come this Saturday to see what it is like. It will just be me attending. I can make arrangements to get dropped off. What is the estimate for the length of time for this event, so I can make arrangements to get picked up … or is there anybody that can drop me off in east london (dundas / hwy 100 area) afterwards?

Chris, try contacting one of the people that have left other comments here offering rides. I would offer but as of now the car I will be is currently full.
cheers
Thanks …. I have arranged for a ride back.
Chris it is usually about 2 hours long.
I missed the last few so I think I’ll make it a point to get to this one. I can grab anyone that needs a ride…Anywhere in the city…Yeah, I’m that nice of a guy ;-)
If you do need a ride email me at davidreddingphoto (at) gmail (dot) com
I’m coming too. Hoping for great weather. I thought I commented here already.
Hey guys, hope you don’t mind but I asked one of the guys here at work if he wanted to come along too.
Also, I’m excited to be getting out for photos… it’s been a couple weeks.
Please invite anyone you want, the more people we have the better time we have.
