This past Sunday was the 5th installment of the London Photo Walk with events being held at Westminister Ponds in South London.  Someone smart (sarcasm) decided to plan a start time of 7am ((Sadly I have to admit this was me)), which at the time seemed really really early, however it turned out well in the end.  The early start time allowed for most of the walk to take place during cool temperatures, helped to keep some of the bugs away and best of all allowed for some amazing shots due to The Fog.

Thats right, even The Fog came out for this walk, and it doesn’t even have legs.  Along side 15 or so locals (and as usual some from out of town.  Hi Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge!!!), The Fog had a great time exploring the abandoned buildings, the sights of urban farming, the naturalized areas and the furry friends that were made (dogs and bunnies).

To be honest I wasn’t sure how many people would come out due to the early start but I was happily surprised.  With 4-5 new participants it seems that each and every time there is a walk we get more and more people interested.

With that said it should be noted that this location was apparently a little hard to find (kind of like walk #3).  We aren’t trying to do this on purpose, truth be told we want as many people out as possible, however, it seems that recent locations for the walks are in places that are off of the beaten road.  With that said, if you are ever unsure about a location feel free to Contact us so we can clear it up for you.

Make sure to check out all of the images in the Flickr Group Pool.  If you have yet to upload your pictures and tag them with “lopw” you should do so that was others can see what you found and captured from the day.  Flickr accounts are free so there really aren’t any excuses.
