Usually 1-2 Hours, we tend to all break off into smaller groups and post our photos online after the fact

Kat.

Last time I don't think anyone who came out was shooting with film, but we more than welcome you if you do.

That is a great idea for a theme, I think soon we will start putting a theme on each walk.

Hope to see you out.

Hello All! So glad there is finally a group in London. Is anyone going to be shooting with film?
Also, another theme could be a certain colour or portraits. Colour may sound a little obscure but you'd be surprised at the interpertations that people can come up with.

Christine.

I am glad you stopped by and made a comment. It would be great if you could make it out to the next event and spend sometime with us. I would love to talk to you about the work you do and the project that you are trying to get off the ground.

Personally I am familiar with the PhotoVoice project as I have been doing some work for a similar project focused on the Kipps Lane area. Although I have not been directly involved in the "photography" portion of this project it is something that I have thought I could lend a hand to and have some postings recently for such things.

The one thing I love about the London PhotoWalk (even though thus far we have had only 1) is that for me it isn't about photography at all. To me this event is about community, about getting to know the communities and city I call home, highlighting the good, bad and the ugly, and meeting up with others that have the same common interest: their community.

I hope we can talk in the future.

Hey there, I am not anywhere close to what you guys are doing but enjoy photo images. I am a youth worker working in a community resource centre. I work with youth between 10 and 24. I will be starting a group called "The Speaking Lens" - a Photojournaling Project for Teens. The goal is to identify the strengths and gaps in their community through their eyes. It is similar to the PhotoVoice - google this amazing project when you have time. I want to learn something from you all and hopefully I can bring something back for the group. It would be even better if a few of you can give me a hand with this group.

I have played around with CHDK on my P&S, it brings a lot of nice features to ordinary cameras.

Just keep checkin in for your camera, it took a little bit for my camera to be supported. but it was worth the wait.
